About the Event

Join Moving Body Arts educators for an intro half-day looking at the fundamentals of Intimacy Direction (for stage). If you've thought about maybe pursuing further certification training in Intimacy Direction then come get a taste of what this role entails. 

This workshop will include discussion and reflection based exercises as well as basic practice based exercises. Participants are expected to work within their boundaries on the day. No contact kissing, nudity or simulated sex will be practiced in this workshop however some protocols will be introduced.

About our facilitator: 

Yarit Dor 

Yarit is an IDC certified Intimacy Director and amongst the first intimacy directors working in the UK. She originated the role on the West End (Death of A Salesman, 2019). Since then she has been an intimacy director on productions at The Shakespeare's Globe, Royal Court, Almeida, Lyric Hammersmith, Donmar Warehouse, Young Vic, Bush Theatre, The Yard etc.  

Yarit has been an ongoing advocate for the role, its work and has been continuously teaching contemporary intimacy practice and protocols to actors and directors in top drama schools and film scools since 2018.
